Biography of Boogie Pimps

Is there, actually, 13 years after the reunion and 14 years after the fall of the Wall one more east west slope? Or a sort of 'Ostalgie'? ' Over here ' a higher unemployment than 'here' in sometimes so called ' the golden west '? May be or also not, but this with interest here everything not, because we deal with the nice things of the life - to the celebration. One is sure: The club scene in the east of Germany is a very healthy, living and also innovative. And one (the DJ) must take great trouble to win the Crowd for himself and he must control his craft - the Mixing-, but he is ignored by the Partypeople bitterly. But if he is good, the euphoria knows no borders. Under these hard conditions the Boogie Pimps which climb at the moment with her hit 'Somebody To Love (Salt Shaker Remix)' the charts continuously in the direction of top Ten have become big. Their base calls Joue Joue and lies in Erfurt. And here it is celebrated hard. Who was once in the Joue Joue, this knows. Both Pimps, Mark J. Klak and Mirco Jakob, also stand even today nearly weekly here her man. Maybe in twos, but one is not always there always. To hold the connection to the base is most important for an artist - videotrick there, Charthit here. Mark J. Klak was infected beginning him of 90th with various USA stays with the House virus, after he began his DJ's career before with soul and HipHop. In New York he also had to put on the possibility in smaller bars. ' After my return to Erfurt I just wanted to live on this feeling and decided to found the Joue Joue with friends. I love this store and above all his audience, because as well as it is here, it could be practically everywhere in the world - a feeling only for the party. ' However, Mirco Jakob still started before the turn his music study and devoted himself according to hobby to his DJ's career. ' To standard times I have as long as in 2 Sanyo tape decks RD 5015 rumgelötet, until these were speed-adjustable. ' Later when the iron curtain had liked, he changed on Technics of 1210th and was to be heard in completely Germany on various transmitters as a radio-DJ. One day he landed in Erfurt and met there ' funny people ' as he himself says with a wink what might have been, however, probably the meeting best till present of his life. At that time the ' funny people ' have asked him: ' ` Well try, nevertheless, sometimes! ' And I try since that time to find out what I try since this day, actually. ' To do all these experiences and the manner, ' simply sometimes ', there flowed in onto the production 'Somebody To Love' that has originated in her studio rooms under the Joue Joue. A spontaneous session well one year ago, how quite often after a hot club night. One takes easily breakigen House-Groove, the striking input citation from the cult film ' from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas ' (\ 'We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine ... ') and the Jefferson Airplane song 'Somebody To Love', an Instant hit of the 68th and Woodstock movement. The refrain was hunted by the Pimps nicely substantially by the Filterwolf, was divided and played in for the break completely and the Screamer was ready. But to on it completely Germany hollow ones turned, one still had to do what. Properly, the piece published. And now the successful story goes off only properly. As well as the Boogie Pimps are level, they simply did sometimes and pressed one-sided White labels of the number and pressed a) to every guest's DJ in the Joue Joue in the hand and sent them in tons out in the national record shops. The thing was immediately an earwig and self-running, spread in the German clubs like an avalanche and became the inalienable tool for every DJ. ' Do you play sometimes this ` Somebody to love ' '? is fine for almost one year the state kind question which one gets as a DJ put. And thus 9000 (!) became Of vinyl of the number set off. Resourceful A*Rs with the ambitious label Superstar (among the rest, platform for Timo the Meuse, Panjabi MC, DJ S.P.U.D, Green velvet uvm) recognized the immense potential of 'Somebody to Love', licensed the piece and one day in the beginning of 2003 the Pimps on *1 the German dance charts were found. Indeed, this was an excellent source base to storm the official Media Control charts. For the music video Mark and Mirco flew to South Africa and interpreted for the short stripe the ' Fear and Loathing ' topic and connected with the Original-Joue Joue feeling - before the party is after party. The ready video was taken by MTV and VIVA immediately in the rotation, got a few weeks later on *28 into the Media Control charts and is sent up up to the today's date (at the beginning of May, 2003) on *13, almost exactly a year after the number has originated. Now for months the Boogie Pimps jet through Germany and other European lands and give never an understanding to all Clubbern of theirs end wishing Partyspirit. With 4 hands Mark J. Klak and Mirco Jakob work hard on the bartender and the Turntables as they have just learned it. The both melt like in the studio also behind the flat plays to a whole piece of art and rock indispensably. With Housemusic in all facets, straight in your face and in Mark and leg. This is Boogie and the Pimps have definitively the grooving. ' There are us simply, but this, we hope, quite well. '
