Biography of The Beat Broker

The Beat Broker was born in 1975 and raised on the West Coast of the United States. It wasn't until 1983 that The Broker was first introduced to 80's pop music and then later in 1988, to rap music by such artists as 'Eric B. & Rakim' and 'EPMD'. Taking the influence of his 80s musical roots, in 1995 The Beat Broker moved away from freeform music and began to experiment with field recordings and other clandestine microphone techniques.

After years of practice, The Beat Broker with the help of The Co-Worker took their blend of styles to the airwaves performing under the name WireTap or live as the Dream Chimney.

After abandoning the airwaves and moving not only to San Francisco, but to the PC, the 'Boombox EP' was born from the bottom of 80's hip-hop and the middle of 90's electronic music. The Beat Broker currently performs live and records music in Broker/Dealer. He also works by day and night, as a web programmer.

Comment: if you want laid back, hypnotic tech-house, this is for you. very much in the broker/dealer style: hypnotic, minimal, & mood-driven, but with enough funk to you keep your head nodding along.

Comment: low-key background music for your cocktail party. Chill out. Unfortunately, not memorable. Check out champagne and tuxedos for something amazing.
