Biography of Dominik Eulberg

The newcomer Dominik Eulberg (who is not really a newcomer since he has released records since 1995) has had his big hit on Traum with 'Die Rotbuchunken vom Tegernsee' which has lead to international recognition in 2004. Very similar in style and dynamic he has created soon after his EP: Flora und Fauna that transports the same spirit alongside 7 new tracks on the double LP and 10 on the CD. Did he introduce the fusion of nature sounds with digital programming and analog techno soul on his EP, the album explicitly highlights exactly this quality to the extreme, featuring explanations in word on the cover. The unique quality is once again, the stream of music, where there is no interruption, but the breaks of intense silence and melodic cascades. You can be sure the return of techno finest qualities then is not far away, when he crashes back into the beat, quite happily, like a child. 'Die Trottellummen von Helgoland' is already considered a direct follow up to the 'Klangteppichverleger Wolle' of his 'Rotbauchunken' 12' and is played aamongthe other tracks by DJs such as Sven Väth, Riccardo Villalobos, André Galuzzi and others. Others are the brilliant 'Der Zug der Kraniche' which reminds of early British ambient music of the 90ies as well as several others. He defines clubmusic with a teaser appeal introducing new sounds by the minute. So we might have a new genre here: teaser techno! The spectrum of the album is by any means a real album not a mere collection of tracks. The CD version contains 3 extra tracks that even more highlight his approach to create a full album.
