Jared Wilson, born 7-7-77, has been involved with music for as long as he can remember. With his father being a musician, Jared started piano lessons at the age of 4. Later he went on to study the saxophone, percussion, and eventually found himself infatuated with electronic music. He began DJing and producing electronic based music at the age of 15. Growing up in the Detroit party scene of the 1990's, Jared was bombarded with some of the world's best DJs and producers.
After High School, Jared studied Fine Arts at the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit. Here, Jared focused on conceptual/installation work. His senior thesis work consisted of various sound installations. Here music, sound, and space formed a strong balance in his work.
After obtaining his Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree, Jared continued focusing on sound installation, music production, and DJing. He teamed up with fellow CCS alum Adam Shirley to run Feed The Machine Records and record together as Obsolete for the label.
Currently Jared is still co-running FTM Records, DJing, and producing music.
