Biography of Alex Andros
Alex's interest in electronic music started at a very young age. By the age of twelve, Alex was tuning in regularly to catch the local radio mixmasters. They became such an influence on his life that the music became his passion. In 1998, Alex Andros embarked on his mission. He began spinning at house parties and soon thereafter landed some club gigs.
In the summer of 1999, while staying in Greece, Alex Andros landed a residency at a local club called Flic Flac. There he perfected his skills and has never looked back since. It was inevitable that his love of music would become a full time gig. His experience expanded as he played at various Chicagoland area clubs such as, Oasis One-Sixty, Ice Bar, Chromium, Clue, Rive Gauche, Ontourage, Sauce, Zentra and more.
Alex Andros' musical career did not end there. In September of 2000, Alex was recruited by Another Level, a record/CD store and event promotion company. This new opportunity allowed him to strengthen his knowledge, reputation, and contacts even more. Alex Andros quickly earned his respect there and became one of Another Level's Trance buyers. Along with that, he performed at the many large scale events that Another Level organized, such as Purgatory, Euphoria, and Freedom.
In the summer of 2003, having gained much experience and knowledge, he returned to Greece to wow the crowds once again. Alex Andros is currently being influenced by the works of artists such as Paul van Dyk, ATB, and Blank and Jones....along with other epic and high energy trance DJs/producers. He's still on the same mission that he started years ago.....a mission that will one day see Alex Andros as this very same influence on the new comers to trance.
