Biography of The Phat Conductor

The Phat Conductor finds it more than a little bit odd writing about himself in the third person, especially in light of the fact that he is actually an apricot named Walrus.

While incarnate in this dimension Walrus enjoys creating music, art, and video mashups as well as teaching others all about how much fun it is. Walrus has a band called the Department of Motion too. They definitely don't suck if you ask me, but I suspect that my opinion on Walrus could be a little biased.

When Walrus isn't puttering around the studio he goes on the road and bosses some noisy machines around. Mostly it's record players, but some of the machines make pictures on the wall and some of the machines are even imaginary! Walrus can't just imagine the sounds right into your head yet though, so he tells a computer how to imagine them for him, it's almost as good. You should try it sometime.

Walrus told me that he wanted to thank everyone for listening to his music and coming out to his shows. Because of all of you guys, Walrus doesn't have to get a real job and that's about as fun as it gets if you ask Walrus.

*** If you're a promoter and you're making a flyer with Walrus on it, maybe you could put this for a bio if you want:

The Phat Conductor is one of Toronto's leading breakbeat exports, wreaking havok on turntables, laptops and projectors in North America, the UK and Europe. Old School, Nu Skool, Home School... it doesn't matter. With an ear for the future and an eye on the dancefloor the man behind Ice-9 brings you lush, organic electronics, funky bass grooves and a live performance to tell your grandkids about... Hail SEITAN!

Comment: Not really the type of breaks I enjoy.. It seems like more sample than music. Hey thats just me, and thats why I am not giving it a horrible review.. :-(
