Biography of Kasey Taylor

Kasey Taylor, founder of Vapour recordings, is one of Australia's most prominent DJ's and as a producer is continuing to make his mark on the worlds dance floors with a string of production and remixes. Now his joint venture label with Vicious Vinyl sees Vapour Recordings present Volume 2 of 'Vapourized'. Kasey's latest DJ mix fires out another set of up front, underground, cutting edge tracks. But first an update on Kasey's 9 months since Volume One of Vapourized was released in late 1999.

As Ocean Wave, Kasey continued to remix artists from all over the globe, kicking off 2000 with Quadra's 'Far Away' for the Convert label, Quadra being Danny Campbell's new project (formerly on the now defunct Jackpot label in the UK). His own Ocean Wave project was signed to the UK's Rhythm Syndicate label in late 1999 (home to Breeder) and his association began with his Ocean Wave remix of DJ Gordon's 'Moonshine' and also his own 'Velvet' & 'Clearwater' tracks getting released on that label in early 2000.

While remaining on the DJ circuit Kasey managed to spend plenty of time twiddling knobs in his studio and teamed up with Andy Jarrod, one of the UK's freshest talents, while Andy was out in Australia holidaying and Ding. The result of this collaboration, 'One Thing' by Blackstone, is coming soon as a single on Vapour. He also got to work on a new Ocean Wave single (for his own label and Rhythm Syndicate) and managed to team back up with long time friend and fellow DJ Sean Quinn, to work on their Our House project and produce a new single (due out shortly) and a new LP .

Comment: This is a good, chill mix. A lot of unique and intelligent proggy tracks on this one. Mellow and speeds up at the end. Good basslines and syths. Tracklisting would be nice.

Comment: One of the best mixes I've heard in the meantime from KT&CM - Tracklist wanted.
Nice soft & chilly proggy tunes. Friends just loved it.
