Biography of Amit

Embarking on his first US tour in support of his upcoming debut album 'Never Ending' on Klute's Commercial Suicide imprint, the UK's own Amit Kamboj is one of the years most hyped Drum n Bass producers out there. His music is heavily influenced by Asian and Middle Eastern sounds, as well as reggae, dub, electro, and techno. His unique sound has gained him releases on some of the most prominent dnb labels, in addition to placing him in the top 5 'Best Single' and 'Best Producer' categories on the BBC Radio listener polls of 2005. His career in music started under the moniker of Tronic, doing a few releases with Rage ( Outrage ) on Chemical Warfare and Nu Urban Music. Shortly after that he hooked up with Digital and Brillo to put out his first release, as Amit, on the mighty L Plates label. From that point on, he has been one of the most in demand, yet elusive producers out there. His ethnic and exotic sounds caught the attention of Klute, then Goldie, and things only elevated from that point on.

Comment: An excellent representation of Amit's style. Deep rolling dubby bass lines. Ghostly middle eastern sounds. Darkness and melody all rolled into one. My only complaint is that it is too short. Worth every minute though, without a doubt.
