BunZer0 - Dubstep Mix X - 2007

Biography of BunZer0

It's been more than 15 years since BunZer0 started DJing. He has been focusing on dubstep since 2002 after discovering bits from Horsepower Productions. He is also passionate about other music genres ranging of the 140 bpm bassline based out of the UK. In 2006 BunZer0 took on the second role of promoting a Dubstep and Grime Night at Beursschouwburg that featured Youngsta, Skream, Thinking, and Grimelock following this year with another Dubstep night called Sub Stance with the FWF Crew with DJ N Type and Walsh as special guests. He was also given the privilege of playing at Mutant Hip Hop 3.

With the success of the previous Dubstep events, FWF made another Sub Stance Night with DJ Pinch in November 24th. January 26, 2007 was another special event dropped in Beurs. Loefah, Pokes, Mrk1 and DJ Mate were the guests of this one. On 16 February 07, Bun was made the Kode 9 and Virus Syndicate support act at Stuk in Leuven. In 2007 Bun played at Strasbourg with Warlock and Helixir and also with Amon Tobin and Skream at AB. In June 07 a big festival dedicated to dubstep took place in Vienna. Pinch, Peverelist, Appleblim, Boxcutter live, BunZero, Tes La Rok/Roguestar MC, Bruno Belluomini, Freakcamp Soundsystem.

For those who don't live in Belgium, you can check out BunZer0's online weekly 'Fresh off the Boat Show' at SUBFM every Thursday at 6 PM GMT. Bun is also a musical journalist for Rif Raf for more than 10 years. Aeclectrick records asked Bun-Zer0 to be the selector of the Sub Stance compilation CD, released end of june 2007. BunZer0 came in second in the category of 'Best International DJ' on Dubstepforum Awards in 2006. And his SubFm show is first in the category 'Best International Radio Show'. In 2007, he had some international bookings and blessed up Budapest or Leeds desks alongside Mr. Jo, the dubwise harmonica player.

Another big step for him was playing in Pennsylvania in the US in May 2008. A four hour back to back set with the one and only Joe Nice, in a parc under the sun and in the grass. It was special. Then he played for three hours at JazzCafe Plains in the US. 2008 already looks massive because of some bookings in London, Paris, Budapest, Barcelona, Graz, Bulgaria, etc. Everything will be posted on the main page of this blog.
