Biography of Florian Meindl

Florian bought his first record at the age of 14, it was a house tune (Armand Van Helden - you don’t konow me) and ever since then there has been nothing else except for the music in his head. Born in Upper Austria , the 21 year old DJ has completed a higher technical school but prefers devoting his time and energy to the creation of the most perfect beats. Florians career began at the age of 16. This is when he beagan as a supporting act to Claude Young, Gayle San, Ricardo Villalobos…. Work with the aforementioned proved successful and in no time Florian was playing all over Austria. Meindls attention between 2003 to 2005 was focused on producing audio material in the minimal/techno/house, nujazz, hiphop, experimental and drumandbass genres. His focus has resulted in minimal techno/house and electro tracks that are soon to be released on stilvortalent rec and traum rec -Germany. In the mid- june 2006 he moved to Berlin to make a living out of music (music production / DJing). In september 2006 he moved to London UK to study Music Technology. His first release “Florian Meindl - Debut EP” was released 2005 on Balkon Rec Germany. Other releases followed on labels like Traum, Resopal, Trapez and StilVorTalent. In october 2006 he set up a new label called “flash” with the berlin based dj and producer Oliver Koletzki. Koletzki and Meindl are a good team and do a lot of productions and remixes together, an important release is the remix for Rockers Hifi - pushpush on Greatstuff Rec which will be released in december 2006. In January 2007 he started to work as A&R for Olivers Label “Stil Vor Talent Rec” as well.
