Biography of Pedro Delgardo

Pedro Delgardo has been a heavyweight in the ‘world’ dance music scene for many years now. He has had many a big tune on some of the world’s biggest compilations and labels. He has DJ’ed all over the world and is often in the middle of Eastern Europe or the Americas spreading his ‘different’ style techno vibe.

He has been on some of the worlds finest labels such as the worlds biggest Dance Record Label ‘ID&T’ (or was! the worlds biggest!) and just recently joined ranks on Carl Cox’s ‘mega’ Intec Imprint. He has toured all of the Americas and basically ‘done’ East & West Europe and has even done quite a few gigs in Asia too.

Pedro’s Yin Yang techno label is also doing extremely well and is already considered one of the world’s finest funky techno labels. Artists that have appeared on the label is Ade Fenton, Glenn Wilson, Stanny Frannsen, Ignition Technician, DJ Preach and Marco G, Hertz and Johan Bacto, Elton D, Olivier Giacomotto, Phill Walls and of course Pedro himself.

...It all started by listening to Jean Michelle Jarre and Kraftwerk in the 80’s and was immediately hooked on all sounds ‘electronic’. At the beginning of the rave scene in the UK, he found himself immediately partying at the outdoor illegal parties and moved with them as he found himself evolving with the music as the raves moved into nightclubs.

In 1996 he started Tune Inn Records which went on to become one of the worlds best ‘dance’ record shops winning multiple awards including the coveted ‘UK’s BEST independent record shop’ collecting his award along sides the likes of Carl Cox.

Today you can either find Pedro touring the world or in his home-town of Selby producing techno full time…

Biography of Axel Karakasis

The passion for music has always been there for Axel Karakasis. It emerged at a very young age, when he started DJing at small clubs in Athens. The definitive moment, however, came in the late 80s when Techno made its first appearance. From this point onwards, his courtship with electronic music saw a very different light…

By 1996, midst of an era that saw electronic music taking over the Greek dance scene, he was already known through various DJ residencies. In addition, being a co-organiser with the team 'bubbles', they organised regular events –to be remembered to this date!- with a huge crowd of supporters! This was only the beginning for a series of very successful events in some of the biggest clubs in the Greek capital, and not only! In the following years, he became the most wanted Greek Techno DJ and, having played in the biggest venues in Athens, Thessaloniki, Mykonos and all over Greece.

Notably, DJing was not the only outlet for Axel. He sets up his own studio and starts exploring avenues in music production. To put it in his own words: “I’ve always wanted to create the music I had in my mind…”. In 2000, he meets Marco Bailey and starts releasing his productions in Pornographic Recordings (Marco Bailey’s and Cristian Varela’s label). He continues his productions and releases tracks in some very respected labels, such as MB Elektronics, Primate, MB Selektions, Rhythm Convert, etc. to establish himself in a genre he refers to as…Groovy Techno! Nowadays, Axel continues to release his music in world’s top record labels, like Intec Records (Carl Cox’s own imprint!) and Primate Recordings, whereas his tracks are played by some of the best Dj’s around the globe and have featured in well known compilations and mix CDs, such as Extreme Euphoria (Ministry of Sound), Cream Ibiza, I Love Techno, and many many more…

But the story doesn’t finish off here…After many years of hard work in the studio he launches his own label, Omega Audio Recordings, together with his partner in crime for many years, Spiros Kaloumenos. Omega Audio was received particularly well by DJs worldwide, features releases by top techno artists and goes from strength to strength.

These days, apart from spending endless time in the studio, Axel headlines events in some of the best clubs in the world, such as the Rex Club (Paris), Womb (Tokyo), Turnmills (London), and tours regularly countries like Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Italy, Switzerland and Malta, to name a few: he keeps exciting crowds all over the world, as well as in his native Greece!

At this moment Axel Karakasis is internationally recognized as the best known Greek techno DJ for his full of energy 3 decks sets and featuring rigorous musical selection that portrays his style.

Surely, there is more to come from this unstoppable techno rebel….
