Date of Birth: 23.7.71 in Berlin / Germany

Situation so far:
I was born in Berlin, but just after my birth we moved to Munich. I think Munich is a nice family city, it is cleen, not too big (1.5 million people) and has wonderful lakes, rivers and a big park with full of nudes – it is called the english garden. Of course only in the summertime. The nudes. If you get too hot from this exciting „sights“, be sure the next beergarden will cool you down with a nice beer. In the wintertime it is better to go snowboarding in the alps to cool down. This city is one of german richest cities and people like it very safe and conservativ. Maybe that was the reason why a few people – like me- got bored over ten years ago and startet to organise illegal parties and listen to technomusic. If you like to hear techno I would suggest you to check following clubs: Ultraschall or Nachtwerkclub . But I actually don’t know anymore what is hot in Munich because I moved back to Berlin six years ago. Hey and you know what is so cool about Berlin? It has great lakes too! ;-) and one time in the year they even host a snowboarding contest on the „Teufelsberg“ in Berlin. But don’t remind me of the size of this „mountain“... . Besides that Berlin is a bit the opposite from munich. It is very big, full with freaks, clubs and DJs and the has a special spirit in the eastern part, therefore some people call Berlin the Detroit of Europe.

Situation at the moment:
The clubscene is changing notably and rumors go around that the Tresorclub will be closed, another important club called the Ostgut is closed since beginning of 2003. We are truly fortunate that our club culture
is so vast it will never become boring. If you visit
Berlin you should always check the small
Flyer-Magazines like Partysan to know what is going on...

Private situation:
Do I miss Munich? Sometimes yes but mostly no. I love Berlin. I miss my friends & family in Munich. But nevertheless I love my new friends here who become my new family to me. I miss the bavarian beergardens. I love the illegal clubs and restaurants from Berlin. I miss the alps. I love the crazy subgroundpassangers of Berlin. I hate Berliner Brezel. Ooops.
Overall I am very happy that I had the opportunity to experience both cities.

Favorite places in Berlin:
At home or in my studio...but this stays private...
In Berlin you should have a drink at the spree-river and one of the best spots for that is a garden-café called „Club der Visionäre“. One of the lakes I love is „Schlachtensee“, 30km away from Berlin and the best afterhourlocation: If you still have enough energy just rent a boat early in the morning and you can be sure you will meet a few other dj´s on the lake...
