Biography of Issie Nixon
In 1992 Ibiza still wasn't the island of all the famous DJ's. It was still a well kept secret. Issie started working at local events and venues no one would recognize today. But at the time, they where the place to be. Always surrounded by DJ's from the island, Nano Vergel, Sergi, Soldado and David Moreno, they were her first contact with Techno music. 3 years later, while working at El Divino, Issie had the chance to actually practice everything that she had been exposed to.
'Konga', a crazy club opened and gave her a start with residents Graham Bits, Sergi and Nano Vergel. Also playing alongside guests such as Jose de Divina and Jo Mills, as well as Jeremy Healy, Jose Nunez, Danny Rampling, Angel Moraes and many many more!
Issie Nixon has also been playing on the island, and all over Europe even since, in venues such as Lucifer, El Divino, Alternativa, Wine Bar, Rich Bith(Germany), Mister Cairo, Mao Rooms(China White), Planet(Barcelona), Club Douala(Germany), La Diosa(Resident Sundays), Pacha Hotel, Somni(Resident), Sol Den Serra, Dreamers(Porto Banus, Marbella), Grial, Pacha(Palma de Mallorca), Pacha(Ibiza).
In 2006 her own promotion and creation, 'Elektra Sound System' was born, to great acclaim. Going back to her Techno roots playing with Vikman, Jonathan Tena, Rodrigo Brinko, Sossa and some of her old friends Nano Vergel and David Moreno.
2008 sees Issie snatch a coveted residency at critically acclaimed 'Soldiers'(Privilege, Ibiza), alongside Carlos Llamar. This event brings in astute party-goers in the thousands to 'the worlds largest club'.
