Biography of Raw
Simon started listening to Jungle in '94 with the help of the one and only 'Cool hand Randall Too Hot To Handle' who had a weekly show on KissFM and from tapes from events such as Desert Storm, Dreamscape and the Edge. The hard drums, atmospheric synths and deep dirty sub bass made him fall in love with the music instantly. He started going to raves in 1997 with the first being the Essential Festival in Finsbury Park, London. After this there was no turning back for him and he regularly attended nights such as Jungle Pressure at the Mansion House (Sterns), Legends Of The Dark Black, Desire, One Nation, Heat, Steppaz Convention at The Beachcomber, Reinforced, World Dance, Ram Records, Renegade Hardware, True Playaz, Planet V's, Prototype, Full Cycle, Movement, Tov, Valve and any other heavy night that he stumbled across. He managed to save up and get his first pair of decks in 1997 and from then on he hasn't been able to leave them alone. Raw has always favoured his DnB with a darker edge expect lots of sub bass and amens.
