Biography of MSTRKRFT

MSTRKRFT,read as Masterkraft, consists of a talented duo: Jesse F. Keeler (born November 11, 1976 in Toronto, a Canadian musician, former bassist of Canadian rock band duo Death from Above 1979) and Al-P (Al Puodziukas in real life, Canadian musician and producer for Death From Above 1979, former member of Mississauga electro pop group Girlsareshort). This electronic music group was based in East York, Ontario, Canada and currently signed to Last Gang Records. The group has started pursuing music career in the year 2005. MSTRKRFT music has a signature of uniting hipsters into the dance floor. Their remix songs are widely known in parts of Canada and now spreading like a wildfire in parts of the world.

MSTRKRFT has already released several remixes from the songs of different artists such as Panthers, Juliette and the Licks, Brazilian Girls, and many more including a song of Jesse F. Keeler's former band Death From Above 1979. This remixes made by MSTRKRFT made them famous in the music scene. Their first single entitled 'Easy Love' which was released in 2006 features a very unique music video that will surely give you a satisfying entertainment worth watching and listening. Their second released album which entitled 'Work On You' was made as a contrast for their first single; the single was released on July 6, 2006.

On July 18, 2006, MSTRKRFT's debut album was released. This album was released with a purpose of giving their fans more improved remixes that will make more people dance with their maximum levels. The album features a vocoderized vocal that makes its song sound more Daft Punk. It also features songs to which the band added some Eurodisco-sounding synthesizer. The album was expected to hit the charts in the upcoming weeks. But with the unique and brilliant sound that MSTRKRFT has produced, Avid fans and listeners have no doubt that this album will become successful in the music industry.

Comment: What an awesome mix. Starts off with a great introduction of the artist then another by the artists themselves. Rocks out and is a true picture of where electronic music is going. To me alot of dance music is retro and not breaking bounderies. MSTRKRFT is breaking all of them and telling u to eff off while they do it.

Comment: This is one of my favourite DJ duos that always deliver a furious assault on the electro front. Mixing their own neon nights and bounce together was one of the many highlights of the two hour long mix and it worked perfectly. Kudos to Al P and Jesse F, who, if they really were drunk like they said they were, would've left everyone's heads exploded after this one went to air. Long live the KRFT!

Comment: I like what mstrkrft is attemping to do with this mix, however I would like to hear more of his minimal house type of sound instead of the crazy britsh style madness. The song whenever you want me, need me, love me....is bangin and i wish i could hear a bit more stuff easier to swallow, at times the mix gets too "loud". I did use this particular mix to work out to and it did exactly what i needed it to, pump me up! But not a mix i would go to again and again. thanks

Comment: I simply did not like it. I found it boring and lacking any real vibe. I tried to get into it. Had a nice long drive and thought this would be a good way to enjoy the drive. What a mistake, i wanted to drive into a tree after about 30 mins. I hear good things about their music, so maybe this was an off day.

Comment: Im not sure that I can correctly put how I felt about this set into words. If I couuld properly convey that way my mind drooled when I heard this, then I would do that rather than leaving actual words, but here it goes anyway. Saw these guys live at the beginning of August and was overwhemed. I didn't think that a live set could capture their presence in the same way, but what do you know? This is really close. Wonderful mixing with their own added flair of great tracks and an energy that is not to be reckoned with, this set is a great example of what this banging duo is capable of.
