Biography of Sasha Carassi

He started in 1993 as a DJ in some clubs of his hometown. In 1996 he met a young producer Giuseppe Tuccillo and started first experiences with samplers, sequencers and synthesizers and maked the first release under the nick-name of Simply Complicated on Ivan Iacobucci's Label Hole Records After some productions he Guidance to compose alone, above all Over My Ocean on Chicago’s famous label Guidance and remixes for important artists like Chicken Lips. Afterwards he worked in some clubs with Tina Lepre and Claudio Coccoluto Arte Dinamika showing his talent and played abroad in Scotland/Switzerland/ Spain in some clubs like Metro Dance Club in Alicante. 2001 sees the meeting with his business partner Tony Matt. Their passion for music makes them true friends and they decide to start a collaboration, looking for new grooves and sounds and so in 2005 their first label Kollafreak was born. Soon after a new project called GLOBOX becomes one of the most prestigious Italian labels. Nowdays two fresh new labels Capsula and QEPO, both dedicated exclusively to the dancefloors give opportunities to new young talents. In 2008 events, collaborations and gigs with international artists revolution Sasha’s life adding to his carreer-dictionary a lot of releases and remixes. Sasha and Tony create other two new labels called Plastic Rules and the latest netlabel Structure, all behind the name of INFACT MUSIC. Actually Sasha Carassi and Tony Matt are gaining a lot of respect in the electronic music worldwide scene.

Biography of Tony Matt

Tony Matt was born and raised in Naples, Italy. In the early 90's, after taking part in some underground parties, he was so fascinated by the house music scene that he decided to start a DJ career of his own. His frequent trips to London and Ibiza allowed him to follow his favourite DJ's and inspired him to create new sounds. The real turning point came in 1997, when he decided to open a record shop that he ran until 2002. Thanks to this new activity he had the opportunity to listen to a great amount of different records, acquiring knowledge of many DJs and receiving feedback from many people with different musical tastes.

His debut into the production scene came in the year 2002 when he collaborated with friend Giuseppe Folliero. Their first track, released under the “Body Talk” alias, was a cover of “Controversy”, a big Prince hit from 1981. In 2004 he decided, with friend Sasha Carassi, to create a new musical project with the objective of expressing their own sound: Kolla Music. Today this project includes two labels: Kollafreak and Globox.

His productions are regularly featured in the play lists of the most important DJs such as Laurent Garnier, Ivan Smagghe, Danny Tenaglia, Marc Romboy, Francesco Farfa, Claudio Coccoluto, DjT, Madox and many others. His current style is energized house music influenced and is mixed with tech and minimal elements. He frequently plays with his DJ-mate Sasha Carassi and behind the Somatika alias; a group composed by Sasha Carassi, the musician Alfredo Pavia and himself.
