With the establishment of his own label, Connaisseur Recordings in 2005 Alex Flitsch fulfills a dream. Now finally the passionate House and Techno fan can pursue his own musical vision completely. The first release on Connaisseur is for Flitsch a prelude made to measure. 'Eve By Day,' by Patrick Chardronnet makes it into the record cases of Sven Vath, Anja Cutter and Âme. Laurent Garnier plays the track for the conclusion of a set at the famous Offenbach Club, Robert Johnson. For the Connaisseur boss, it was the safest indication of the fact that it hit the right way.
Flitsch and the first Connaisseur Artist Chardronnet know each other from their Pforzheimer days. In the Swabian province the Connaisseur boss grows up, when House and Techno become determining factors in his life, and the way towards Frankfurt was the logical result. The contacts with Chardronnet and the Afrilounge, which have likewise their roots in Pforzheim, become stronger. They are the pool, from which the first Connaisseur Artists recruits itself. With the releases, Connaisseur will build a good reputation in the scene itself. Sven Vath, Inches Allien and Steve Nose take the tracks of the label on their mix Compilations. Producers like Swiss Ripperton, the duo collective Tower Route, and the Dutchwoman Estroe help to support the Connaisseur family.
With 'Grand Cru 2008,' the first mix CD from Alex Flitsch. Here are the current tracks of the label. At the same time British magazine Resident Advisor provides one mix together, its preference for House and Tech House illustrated. To hear are among other things tracks of Hakan Lidbo and Damian Schwartz. Besides his work as A&R and internationally booked DJ Flitsch wants to be established from now on as a producer. With the increasing success of Connaisseur and its Sublabels Connaisseur Superieur and Connaisseur Black Edition, he has several platforms handy for the publication of own productions.
