Mauricio Barembuem (a.k.a. Barem) of Buenos Aires, Argentina, has been djing and producing since 2003. A student of music since the age of 15, Barem's love affair with music started with the guitar -- playing mostly rock and blues in the beginning. Soon after, during a trip to Europe, he realized his own passion for minimal techno while visiting Berlin. He has been djing and producing ever since that vacation -- now with several releases coming up on various labels. Barem's sound is accomplished, simplistically complex and ultra-heady. He fuses minimal concepts with a funky frame of mind. In short, Barem rocks.

Over the past two years it may be tough to find an artist who has been working as hard as Ryan Crosson. Since Fall 2003 he has been producing music on his laptop in an attempt to separate himself from other artists and find a sound all his own. Trading practice time behind turntable for countless hours spent in front of a computer screen, Ryan focused on deep bass lines and quirky rhythmic noises to keep dance floors moving. He prides himself on hard work and dedication, and after a little less than a year of producing his hard work began to pay off.
In late summer 2004, Ryan was asked to become a part of Beretta Music Detroit, a techhouse label that was about to begin a sub-label called Beretta Grey. The purpose of Grey is to focus on more deep, minimal grooves and the founders of Beretta thought Ryan would be an excellent fit to help jump start this idea. Also in Fall of 2004 Ryan signed some of his music to Trapez Records, a division of Traum Schallplatten out of Cologne, Germany.
2005 should serve to be a busy year for Ryan. In addition to his release on Trapez he has also signed tracks with Archipel, a netlabel moving to vinyl out of Montreal, and for a compilation on Tic Tac Toe Records based in Denmark. A Beretta Grey release is also in the works for later in the year.
