Jeff started as a club dj in the mid eighties in Sacramento, California then making his way to Los Angeles in 1987. He then fell in love with the underground dance culture and later became Southern California's original Breakbeat House mogul known globally as a DJ / Producer who displays an eclectic blend of dance music into a well rounded Breakbeat sound. Recognized as a pioneer of the 'Funky Breaks / West Coast Breakbeat House Sound' in Simon Reynold's novel 'Generation Ecstasy,' as well as a resident writer for Los Angeles based BPM Magazine, running the premier US Breaks label Phonomental Music, overseeing operations of his acclaimed record shop 'DJ Culture', his streaming radio show on his DJ Culture web site, performing in clubs to major events around the globe as well as and working in the studio with some of today’s top dance artist in the game, there is no doubt that Simply Jeff has become America's most beloved Breakbeat Dance heroes.
Simply Jeff is now getting ready to put out some new and exciting singles for all you djs. He is also on tour supporting his latest full length mix compilation on Phonomental Music called 'Bring it Back' released April 2005. You can also catch Simply Jeff on the XM Satellite Radio waves (Thump Funk / The Move - Channel 80) every second Friday of the month.
