Biography of Santos Resaik

Born in Rosario Argentina, this young producer began to play as a DJ in 2000. He began to prepare his live act based on his laptop and midi controller full of loops and samples of his own productions; making the music personal with his private arsenal of minimal, tech-house and techno. In 2006 he toured all over Mexico, playing in such popular and well known venues as: Rioma, Hotel Condesa, party at and the famous Am Club, where other well known artists such as Jeniffer Cardini, Tobias Thomas and Matías Aguayo also shared the decks. He has performed in every club of Rosario city and also at local raves. Santos played at the South American Music Conference (SAMC) where were present artists like Richie Hawtin, Magda, Troy Pierce, Marc Houle and Justin Robertson, among others. In 2006 with his first LP debut “Tu Smokin Barriles” Santos Resiak become one of the stand out artists on the Swedish label, Subtropical Records. Following this release will be his brand new ep “Aeromozas” on the Italian label Stomafunk in 2007, where Santos introduces a new direction in his sound. Dante also deliver releases for labels such as immigrant records and his first 12” for Gluckskind schallplatten whit remixes from Ryan Crosson, followed by his digital release whit remixes by Someone Else. On 2008 Santos Resiak will deliver his first unfoundsound ep whit four tracks ready to be played on his 2008 european tour.

Dante Costantini, a 24 year-old Argentinean musician who happily ventures out to invade the strangely limited world of minimal techno, is an open-minded guy. The Poker-crazy, friendly freak, raised in the city of Rosario, does not care what others think; a gift not well-received by his primary school teachers but beneficial for his later career. Born into a league of crunchy, tight producers that shape the young and restless Argentinean scene emerging in a country that seems to collapse at any given moment only to steam on full zestfully, Dante’s music, just like the stuff of many of his peers, oscillates between celebrated crisis and regretful euphoria. Just what we need to fuel the floors! .

Santos, who is really called – contrary to popular belief – Dante Costantini, actually produced stuff for Robin Porter’s Immigrant Records, Pinksilver and will soon release an EP on Someone Else’s Unfoundsound as well as being responsible for the fourth digital Glückskind release, so you have been warned. He is one to watch out for, and as always, Glückskind are the lucky ones to have unearthed a new talent before it got too costly.
