Biography of Atomly

Atomly hails from the great white wilderness of North Dakota and his Viking-like stature reminds you of his hearty root. Moving from Minot to Fargo to Minneapolis to Chicago, the 24 year-old producer spent over a decade soaking up the diverse and rough-edged Midwest party scene. You can hear it in his amazingly diverse live sets, which move from groovy Minimal Techno to seismic DrumnBass and full throttle Breakcore.

A dedicated programming geek, Atomly was one of the first producers to make the move from gear to laptop performances, composing tracks amidst a matrix of ones and zeros. But technique has little to do with the powerful sound that comes from his tiny computer (dwarfed even further by his 6’8” frame). He has appeared across the US as well as having logged several European tours and has performed with cutting edge artists as diverse as Brothomstates (Warp), Venetian Snares (Planet Mu), Sutekh (Force Inc.) and L’usine (Ghostly International).
