Biography of Peak Period

Peak Period’s interest in making music started back in 2001 when he played his brother’s drums for the first time. He was mostly listening to heavy guitar sounds like Soulfly, Rage against the Machine, SOAD, Hed PE and so on…

However, in 2002 he fell in love with electronic music, especially breaks, schranz/hard techno, acid and goa/psytrance. When he was 15 one of his friends passed him a cd with Drum&Bass and Jungle on it, and Peak Period found his final musical destination. He absolutely couldnt get enough of that stuff and he knew he found the kind of music he was searching for a long time. Totally paralyzed by complex drums and heavy basslines his nightlife got a massive nocturnal change and he went to many Drum&Bass gigs.

In the age of 16 (2005) he worked very hard to get the money for his first pair of turntables. The rest is history, 2007 he started to organize the “High Tension” party series with his friend “Cyclone”, which quickly emerged to a much respected monthly DnB session in the area.

Cyclone had the long dream to run the free-netlabel “Anxiety Disorder Recordings” - and infected Peak quickly with that thought. Anxiety Disorder now releases a single tune, or an EP, ever 2 weeks, periodically.

A few months ago he started to produce tunes on his own, so probably we will hear some wicked stuff produced by Peak Period as well.
