Biography of 20 Years Ago

Being technician of sound and an experienced discjockey from La Costa del Sol, 20 Years Ago spends more than 15 years setting a prodigious skill at the turntables and the equalizing, studying styles like hardtechno, techno, technohouse or electro. His real passion has been always the minimal and minimal techno, certainly influenced by the sound of producers such as Richie Hawtin, Speedy J, Rino Cerrone, Adam Beyer, Jeff Mills, Marco Carola, Óscar Mulero or Mark Broom.

His three or four deck sessions weaving loops in a surgical way (sometimes accompanied by Ableton Live) are quite an spectacle, and this has led him to be present in Andalusian festivals such as Marearte, Natural, Satisfaxion,Electropitas 2007,Miga tour 07 and in night clubs such as Colonial Café (Malaga), Palladium (Torremolinos), Öpera 4 (Granada), BoogaClub (Granada), Morgan Club (Granada), Sala Pacolitos (Fuengirola), Simphony (Fuengirola), Miga Club (Granada), Sala Caracho (Malaga), Eleventh Room (Pamplona), No Problem (Pamplona), S..oliba Club (Mallorca), Perestroika (Mallorca), Sala Loop (Almería), Cafe le Leopard (París) and some of his sets have been broadcast by the Radio Nacional programme Zona 3, by the prestigious presenter, Sonia Briz.

He has shared booth with the most prestigious djs of the Andalusian scene as well as from the rest of Spain and abroad, such as: Misc, Niederflur, Alejandro López, Koldo, Intermusic, Jairo Catelo, Pedro Suite, Rosse and Ulysse, Javy Unión, Pepo, José Galbán, Marusha, Felipe Volumen, Jordi Slate, Lady K, Animatek, Sr. Aye, Benny Yasoto and so on.

He has been the casting and production director of Malaga’s local TV programme 'Big Sessions', where they broadcast dj sets in rigorous live. Also he gave classes for novice djs at Academia Artquimia of Malaga.

Nowadays he is a resident of the nightclub Quilombo of Granada where he shares booth every month with recognized artists of the current minimal-techno scene of this country, which has led him to consolidate his name in the city of Granada as well as in the rest of Spain … beginning this year with great strength.

20 Years Ago is Miga’s proposal for the most forceful side of our country’s electronic/techno music.
