Biography of DJ Freeze

Back in 1991 at the age of 12 I bought myself two turntables & a mixer and founded together with an american friend the Hip Hop- project 'MC D & DJ Freeze' . Through this I could make my first experience on stage.
Already in 1994 I was one of the resident-Dj's in the 'legendary' Ohm-Club (Mannheim). I also spinned my records in the Milk!-Club.

A party with DJ Hype in may 1994 probably had the bigest influence on me and I was able to learn a lot from him. My Hip Hop influences helped me quite much and I continued to develop my technical skills.

In 1998 I became DJ in the band WEFUNK and also started to study as an audio engineer. After finishing my studies I carried on playing Drum'n`Bass and started to work in my Homestudio. Meanwhile I'm producing own Drum'n`Bass -tracks and recorded a song along with General Levy in june 2002.

In the begining of 2001 I founded the Drum'n`Bass- project 'Boogie Nights' together with the 'DJ Arsonist'. We met during the Love Parade 2001 in Berlin where we both played on 'The Beach'- party. Since this time we have been working together (of course we can also be booked seperatly) and we try to give our audience a completly new Drum'n`Bass experience on 4 turntables.
As I am also interessted in Dancehall/ Reggae it came to a cooperation with the Dee Buzz Soundsystem from Mannheim/ Heidelberg. Since 2002 I occasionaly play together with the DeeBuzz-crew and I'm responsible for the Ragga-Jungle sounds & the studiowork. We also work together on Dancehall/ Reggae- tunes and I did my first order to remix a song for them.
Meanwhile I have a nice selection in my dubplatebox with recordings of some national and international artists.

Since 2005 I am working together with Top-a-Top Promotions so you can be shure to hear more of Mannheims one and only dubplate killer!
