Biography of Cbell J

Sarawak, East Malaysia has secretly bred a new breed of Borneo animal – Cbell J. His first debut in front of party animals was back in 2006, and now he is one of the Top 20 most voted DJs on thedjlist.com for Malaysia. A few years before that, he was only a bedroom DJ who was making mixes and submitting them online. However, his mixes got popular from time to time among the underground clubbers and music enthusiast, and when Juice Magazine said 'Only released one mix which is popular now, you really should check his mixes!' Armed with his rapidfire mixing skills and gruesome beats, he has been earning those hard-to-get residencies in Miri’s top dance clubs and has been appearing in most of sarawak’s major dance events, thus making him a very busy DJ.

After his explosive debut with Bass Agents in 2007, Cbell J had been working diligently but assuredly into a notable position as East Malaysia’s bang-bass diplomats. This big exposure has broadened his style into more mixing styles and tricks, and this has helped him a lot as he sometimes has to share the stage with big names such as Didgital (Malaysia), Xt-Acid (Malaysia), X-Statik (Melbourne) and some of Miri’s local talents. He was also invited to play for the opening of Vgas Bar in Miri and has been actively supporting the hard dance scene, exposing his every single love for hard basslines.

Making his name for playing Hardtrance, Hardstyle and HardNRG, his signature sound is now has all elements except for the new techy influence, crunching electro sounds, massive percussions and killer basslines. Expect techno influence in his set as he is sweep you off the dance floor and stomps you with terrifying dark and hard melodies, then brings you up with uplifting melodies just to leave you room to breathe which explains why he’s the new breed of the Borneo animal and that’s why you should keep an eye on him, he is: Cbell J.
