Biography of Nick Bien
Project313 is the collaboration of Detroit based DJ's & Producers; Chad Parraghi and Nick Bien. The combination of their many years of musical experience and a distinct musical taste has led them to forge their own unique sound that fuses hard techno with IDM stylings. During a Project313 performance you can expect to hear intense heavy base lines, irregular time signatures, assaulting synth lines, and percussion sequences with mind-numbing real-time re-edits and effects processing that are sure to make you move your feet.
The two have spent the last year doing numerous live performances while at the same time producing new material for upcoming releases on D-Records and their own new imprint blank code which is the collaboration of longtime artists and friends; Chad Parraghi, Nick Bien, and Corbin Davis. The three have been working closely with an international network of well established artists, in addition to Kero from Detroit Underground on the creation of a new label.
2008 is shaping up to be an exciting year for project 313. Currently the duo is in the studio working on new releases for the Detroit based labels and preparing for a string of upcoming performances and events. Look for Project 313 to hit the ground running with their first EP titled 'Infraction' coming out in May 2008 with remix support from Audio Assault's Jeroen Liebregts and D-Records Rex Sepulveda.
