Biography of Nuclear Flower

Nuclear Flower is the electronic production name for Curt Gagnon, a veteran musician residing near Detroit, Michigan. Curt is fluent in many instruments, and has instructed a multitude of students in various instruments and music theory from beginning to advanced levels. His primary instrument has been guitar, in which he has over twenty years of experience and has performed with several bands.

Curt began to branch out into the electronic arena when he got his first turntables 1998. Soon he was playing live and creating mixtapes known for precision mixing and orchestration. Curt began electronic production in the year 2000, which has led to several albums of genre-bending and experimental music. He is currently working on a fusion of his skills as a guitarist and as a producer. His influences are many, however he has been partial to drum and bass in most of his electronic endeavors.

Comment: Of course I'm going to thumbs up my own mix! The bitrate is good on this recording. It is taken from an old mix tape, however, so it is a bit noisy. The noise is more evident in the first two tracks and then becomes less noticeable. This is a transitional mix, starting off light and punchy and moving gradually into darker territory. The beatmatching is dead-on and the tracks are well-orchestrated. Decoder, Substance, Stakka and Skynet and Kingsize, to name a few artists in the set. The good old days.
