Biography of Garcynoise
Born and raised in Pamplona, Spain Rubén García, aka GarcyNoise, began throwing parties across Navarra (Northern region of Spain) at the ripe age of 17.
These Parties were primarily held in Warehouse spaces across Navarra (Northern region of Spain) from around 1995 - 1998. At one of these Parties Ruben met Marcos Ruiz with whom he began and directed 'Digital Trax', a popular electronic music radio show which broadcast on FM Radio for 6 years until late 2001.
Since 1997, Ruben has been a Resident Dj @ Artsaia Club in Pamplona and for 2 years of this he was the director and head professor at the School of Djing and New Music Technologies for E.M.M.A. (Escuela de Musica Moderna Artsaia - Certified by the Government of Navarra) where he taught classes on Electronic music and headed various government sponsored Dj workshops.
In parallel to this, in 1999 he opened his own record store specializing in Electronic Music. 2001 found out Rising star making a move to the Ciutad Condal, Barcelona. Where he would join forces with All Velilla to become “the Soulfulas”. Together they built up “Homeless Studios” which would be the home to various D.Press Ind. Releases. His DJ Sets are built on 2, 3 decks and occasion with Dj Jazzdeep (Colectivo Chihuahua-Menorca) or Xavier Izar (Zona 3 - Radio3 - Vitoria) on 4.
His elegant mixing style of long dynamic mixes and exquisite taste in music have allowed him to enjoy Dj Residencies in various cities as well as various performances across most of Spain. Ruben has also played with well known artists such as Orbital, Kevin Yost, Brett Johnson, DíJulz, Mateo & Matos, Nigel Hayes, Murray Richardson, Martin Landsky, Alex Moran Loadeast, and many more.
Musically, Ruben's taste can be quite eclectic and he can play a chill out set as well as he could a Minimal Techno set, though he does prefer to play his style of house with an electronic edge. Currently, Ruben spends most of his time immersed in his studio productions and running his label, Justified Cause Recorthings, and sublabels Justified Entertainment and Without Justified Cause, which, like his DJing, are musically oriented in Groovy to Electronic House. The labels are his artistic platform and are supported by internationally acclaimed artists such as, Martin Landsky, Brett Johnson, Tres Manos, Loudeast, Johnny Fiasco, Lance DeSardi, Jacob London and other house hardhitters. The Label is distributed by Decoder Muzique (www.decodermuzique.com). Homeless Studio is another of Ruben's project alongside partner Daniel Sanchez where they develop O.S.T. for Video Games and music for Commercials.
