Biography of Renato Bastos

RENATO BASTOS started professionally playing in 2000, and in April of the same year his career gained impulse when he was gotten among the best djs in a competition promoted by Bunker94.


DJ Renato Bastos have already played in many parties and clubs such as Parada AME (SP) , Rio Parade (RJ) ,Bavaria Vibe (RJ), Bunker Rave (RJ) , Love (SP), A Loca (SP), D-Edge (SP), Skol Project(RJ) , D-Traxx (RJ) , Circuito (SP) , D-Edge (SP) , Susi em Transe (SP) , Technose (PR) , Groovetronic (PR) , Putz (PR) , Lenha (BH) , Warung (SC) , abvio Litoral (SC), HellsRave (AM) , Up Bar (MG) Neo (RS) Vibe (PR) , Blen Blen (SP) , Stereo Pub (PR) , Club 360 (BH) and with some important international names as Dave Clarke, Riton, Adam Beyer, Beroshima, Marco Bailey , Monika Kruse , Laurent Garnier , Terence Fixmer , Miss Yetti, Chris Liebing ,Glenn Wilson ,Vitalic , Dylan Drazen , Stanny Franssen (G-Force) , Jamie Anderson , Marco Lenzi , Dave the Drummer, Hell , Umek , Valentino Kanzyani, Christian Fischer , Harald Klotzberg , Ade Fenton , Lars Klein, Andreas Kremer, Alex Bau, Holgi Star, Stereo Jack, Kraft , Patrick DSP , Hartmut Kiss , Junkie Slip e Nicolas Lutz.


He has also played with the most important Brazilian names as Pet Duo, Mau Mau , Murphy, Anderson Noise, Renato Cohen, Nitrosound , George Actv , Philip Braunstain, Mauricio Lopes and Mara Bruiser.


In the middle of 2004 Bastos went to his first European gig and had the opportunity to play in places like Auddio Club (Brigton), Squat Parties (London), FFWD Parade (Rotterdam), Xtralarge Club (Amsterdam), Swing Club (Porto), Plastic (Varzim) and Metropolitan Bar (Dublin).


In his own party “Friendship” carried through since December of 1999, he brought to Rio de Janeiro some important artists as Chris Liebing, Monika Kruse, Glenn Wilson, Alex Bau, Holgi Star, Andreas Kremer, Patrick DSP, Vitalic, Umek, Valentino Kanzyani, Ade Fenton, Christian Fisher and Hartmut Kiss.


As a producer, Renato had his first contacts in 2001. As he got more and more interested on that, he created together with Breno Ung, the label 'Pertence Records' to release his and friend's productions. In June/2006 released the record 'I Need Some' on Pertence Records and now is working in the next release 'I Don´t Eat'.

Today, Bastos’s focus is the 'ung & bastos' project together with his partner Ung. The project aims producing dancing music with a very dark electro and minimal techno characteristic, as well as elaborating a live act that where Ung and Bastos have already acted together with Vince Watson, Deep Dish e Dave Clarke.

In the beginning of 2005, Pertence Records started to built it's own studio and produced soundtracks for some of the most famous fashion festivals, clothing labels and tv commercials from Rio de Janeiro.


His dj set can flow from minimal techno to electro house.
