dossier : Robyo was born and raised in Rockford, Illa'noize, where he played bass in several well-known punk and hardcore bands. At the age of 21 he moved to Oregon state and discovered electronica. He picked up djing and also learned to play djembe and didjeridoo. After living in the Pacific Northwest for several years and graduating college, he moved back to the mighty midwest to continue playing music and djing. Robyo's dj style is analogous to the ocean's tides where tempo, density and color sway though time and a divine oscillating influence. He is an avid fan of psychadelic production techniques and prefers tribal, dub, ambient and trance soundscapes. As an advocate for trance culture, Rob has hooked up with Audiognomes to bring the best vibes possible to the Heartland
