Biography of Jesper Dahlback
Jesper Dahlback is a Swedish based electronic artist working out of Stockholm. Since 94 his prolific and original style has seen him release countless twelve inchs, a mix CD, three full-length albums, and DJ all over the world. As part of the 'Swedish Invasion' along with Adam Beyer and Cari Lekebusch, Jesper helped to redefine the techno landscape in 95/96 with their patented hard-percussive sound. Jesper was involved in seminal early releases like Drumcode #1, and others under the name DJ Lenk. He started his own label, Blank, and recorded several twelve inchs for Drumcode, Loop, Earthtones, Hybrid and others.
By 97, however, it was Jespers smoother, deeper housier sounds recorded for SVEK records (under the name The Persuader) that started to gain major international status. His unique deep-tech-house hybrid satisfied both the hardened clubbers and the classic house heads. His album 'Stockholm' released in 99 was an instant classic, and his mix CD releases on Montreal's Turbo Recordings (The Stockholm Mix Sessions) was a massive success, becoming THE cd of the summer....
For the young, laid-back Jesper Dahlback, the future is very bright....more deep, jazzy releases for SVEK, a new Stockholm Mix Sessions for Turbo, remix projects, more extensive touring, and of course a continued devotion to his futuristic house sound.
