Biography of Luciano Esse
Luciano Esse has an expert knowledge of music in all its expressions, he started work in 1990 with the Enjoy Group, a collective which changed the way house music was percieved in the South of Italy. From 1995 till 1999 he worked with House Essential, and became one of the best promoters in his country. In the last three years he joined, as a resident DJ, the staff of THE FLAME Organisation which is at the forefront of music reality in most of Italy.
Luciano has always had access to the latest and most obscure music that the Italian scene has to offer. His music is Techno together with Electro, Acid and Minimal. With the Flame Organisation he started to have the first contact with decks and vinyl, whilst keeping contact with the people that always followed him to the best underground parties.
He moved to London in 2001 to make deeper his music knowledge and in the summer 2002 he was resident DJ for Trauma on sunday nights at Turnmills. Also very famous is Luciano’s one-night Down Below at The Rex, first, then moved to Ruby Blue and Cosmobar. The most important moment of his career so far is his gig at Fabric, April 2006, as he is one of the firsts italian DJs to have this big honour. At the moment he is resident DJ with The Flame Crew in Bari and in Milan.
He also played for the after-hour Familia at Turnmills, at Flawless at Fluid (After DPTM – Fabric), at Hung at The Arches, at The Flame and Trade at The Egg, at Hung at Crash, at Codex at AKA (The End), at Survival at Clorophilla (South of Italy), SODOMA at Hollywood (Milan), Geisha at Gasoline (Milan), Underground (Ibiza), supporting DJs as Mr C, Omid 16B, Martini Bros, Smoking Jo, Deep Dish, Craig Richards, Ivan Smagghe, James Holden, Tiefschwarz, Rui Da Silva, Francis Harris, Dominik Eulberg, Basteroid, Metope, Wighnomy Brothers and many others.
