Born in Sacramento, California, Daniel Bell grew up outside of Toronto, Canada, and then moved to Detroit where he collaborated with Richie Hawtin as Cybersonik for three years on +8 Records. In 1991, he started his own label, Accelerate, on which he released his influential releases as DBX. Based on nearby Chicago 'track' records, he reduced that sound further into funky, streamlined grooves. The formula proved to be successful and helped launch a new aesthetic in techno and house music known as 'minimal'.
With the overwhelming success of his 'Losing Control' single in 1994, Daniel set up 7th City Distribution in order to assist smaller Midwest labels to get distribution in overseas markets. He also created three new labels - 7th City, Elevate and Harmonie Park. In 2000, he relocated to Berlin, Germany, and released his first mix CD, The Button-Down Mind of Daniel Bell, on Tresor Records. He since has produce a series of remixes for a diverse range of artists, includng John Tejada, Pantytec, Akufen and John Thomas. He currently has a DJ residency at Robert Johnson in Frankfurt.

Serafin pushes different eras of House music and Technosoul throughout the night. Sustained by deep, constant rhythms, Old is new. With a sampler and effects tracks are manipulated, new loops created, breathing space achieved and heart rhythms excited. When the sun comes up, the euphoria arrives... The DJ sets from Serafin are intensive while still achieving an overwhelming feeling of space and time.
Meticulously composed in Zurich's Ministudio Josef 36, Serafin's last solo release received imPressive feedback; his melancholy 'Kristall EP' on Bruckstuecke was 'record of the month' in the De:Bug of December 2004, number one in the Raveline charts and has been included in Sven Vaeth's mix CD 'The Sound of the 5th Season.'
Together with Luciano, Serafin produced 'Funk Excursion' for Cadenza Records - a modern club record that is pure intoxicating and euphoria. For the 'Postoffice 2' compilation on Logistic Records the two Dandies produced an infantile but playful acid number 'Yaki Soba' which was selected by Akufen for his Fabric Mix-Compilation.
Serafin has also remixed tracks for the Hamburg native Lawrence (novamute) and from Wandler from the Zurich label Littlebig.
His upcoming 'Starship Discotech' appears on Hamburg's excellent label 'Liebe-Detail'.
