Biography of DJ TRB
The Brazilian dentist Charles Alberti, DJ TRB, who is now 24 years old had his first contact with electronic music in 1995, after a friend got back from a trip and gave him a techno CD recorded by the DJ and producer Carl Cox. It was this CD that really got his curiosity going and made TRB wants to go out and explore the different e-music sounds being played in clubs in São Paulo, Brazil.
In 1995, with hard work and a little bit of luck, TRB went to a rave for the first time. The result: he fell in love! Very excited with his new discovery, he followed the ever so rapidly growing scene traveling to numerous parties, some of which are still symbolic names in the underground scene (SP Groove and Avonts). In the following years, he started to go to clubs like Lov.e, Manga Rosa, A Loca and had the opportunity to see great international DJ's such as Chris Liberator and D.A.V.E The Drummer. During these common outings, TRB started to make contacts with people in the scene. He started making friends with promoters, dj's etc. As time went on his anxiety to get more involved with the electronic scene was getting stronger and stronger. As a result in the year of 2000 he decided to buy himself a pair of Technics 1200's. At first what started out to be hobby now plays a big role in his life as he has started to play out in various parties in his home town.
With practice and dedication, TRB has been developing his techniques of mixing and creating a unique personality for his sound. He has always questioned his friends about demonstrating his style, and with that in mind everyone responds: “If you really have a love techno, why not share it with others?”
Pro Dj since the beginning of 2002, TRB has shared the decks with great names such as: Pet Duo, Murphy, Lukas, Eto+Gab, Camilo Rocha, Nitrosound, Thiago Salvioni, França, Adriano Ps, Pest, Animal, Chanel RS, Eletronic, Rafael Rossi, Snoop, Bunnys, Invoke Duo, Gustavo Macabelli and International talents: DJ Android (Cluster - Canada) , Andreas Kremer (Carnage/Life Form Records - Germany) , Rowland The Bastard (Stay up Forever - Inglaterra) , Jerome Hill (Dont Records - UK) , Patrick DSP (Working Vinyl/Combat Skill - Canada) , DJ Pauze (Hydraulix/HardSignal - Canada) , Holgi Star (Kidazz FM - Germany) , Surgeon and Regis.
2003 was very special year for DJ TRB. With the help of some friends he inaugurated TechnoPride.net, which promotes underground techno music in Sao Paulo through: Dowloadable Sets, Party Promotion, Photos from parties, Interviews and News Articles. At the end of 2004 TRB and his staff found themselves throwing a very big successful party to celebrate the sites 1 year anniversary.
And it was at that year that TRB was invited by the DJs Pet Duo to play at Clubtronic, at Energia FM (97.7) Radio Station while the couple was on tour in Europe . Since then, TRB has been responsible to fill in their time slots while they have been away. The Clubtronic program happens every Saturday nights from 9pm to 9.30pm and is broadcast live from Sao Paulo , SP, Brazil.
