Biography of Chateau Flight
Chateau Flight is a duo formed of Parisian producers I:Cube and Dj Gilb'r. The pair go way back : I:Cube's first Ep was released on Gilb'r's electronic music imprint : Versatile. Chateau Flight first started out as a remixing dream-team reworking tracks from the likes of Air, Pierre Henry, Stardust, Femi Kuti or Daft Punk.
A natural musical kinship between the secretive camera-shy producer and the outspoken Dj was soon established and took the duo to further heights on their first Ep : Discobole. 1999 had Gilb'r and I:Cube busy releasing and promoting the latter's second album, the dashingly brilliant Adore, but in 2000, the duo reformed to produce their Puzzle debut : a daring -albeit successful- musical fusion of their respective inspirations : dance, jazz and breakbeat for Gilb'r, ambient, Techno and psychedelic oddities for I:Cube.
