Biography of Stephan Bodzin
In the end of 2005 the Germany based electrohouse imprint Systematic presented its fourteenth release called Marc Romboy vs. Stephan Bodzin containing two enigmatic and timeless tracks carving the thin line between minimal electro house and neo techno in the vain of Matthew Jonson and John Tejada.
But that was definately not the first time you heard of the fabulous Mr. Bodzin from Northern Germany 'cause he has benn producing tracks from profiled artists like Thomas Schumacher, Elekrochemie and H-Man, just to name a view.
Marc Romboy, man behind Systematic says: 'Stephan is one of the most innovative and enthusiastic producers of electronic music I have ever met in my life. His talent to edit and create unique sounds and kickin' minimal grooves is incredible.'
The mid-thirty fellow has just released his very first solo single called 'Caligula' on Systematic Recordings and is currently pretty busy with preparing his DJ-Mix live show which is, from Stephan's point of view, the next step into future DJ performance.
There's no doubt at all, 2006 will be the year of Stephan Bodzin!

Comment: Liebe ist was probably the best artist album I bought last year. Stephan Bodzin is quite spectacular with his driving mental techno. His music does get me very excited and sometimes quite emotional when he goes a bit deeper. I do worry though that the sets I've heard sound quite similar, although it is all good, maybe he could try something different before he pigeon holes himself. Although I can't take it away from him, he is marvellous to listen to.
