Biography of Punisher
Known in circles of Detroit and around the globe for her ambition and skills on the tables, Michelle Herrmann a.k.a. Punisher has set a precedence in a city known for it's fickle taste. Her birth into the techno realm began in Detroit in 1993 at the age of 15.
DJ’ing wasn’t enough. 1996 she put out her first two releases on Detroit label Matrix records and then in 1998 , she started her own label , Seismic Records with a friend and fellow producer Mike Brickner a.k.a. Cozmic Spore. Using the label as a tool push their own concepts of sound and motion they have in turn worked with and gained the respect of many world renowned DJs and producers. With releases from the Advent and Bryan Zentz and liscensing from Dave Clarke and Billy Nasty .. to name a few, Seismic has developed into a strong force in underground techno.
Since Seismic Records began in 1998, it has become a unique tool that allows Punisher to continue moving in a new direction with her production. She has added synths to her unique blend of percussive styles inspired by Swedish / German techno producers, yet maintains a distinct Detroit sound when all the layers are brought together.
Punisher continues the momentum of producing techno releases and also travels the world performing devastating DJ and LIVE P.A. performances. From Drum N' Bass to Techno and everything in between, she has repeatedly played throughout the US , Canada , Puerto Rico and has headlined large scale Famous events and clubs all around the World with … Joel Mull, Cari Lekebusch, Marco Carola, Ben Simms, Jay Denham, Misstress Barbara, Richie Hawtin, Dave Clarke, Derrick May, T-1000, Gaetano Parisio and many others.
Michelle's music has also landed her a spot as guest DJ on the Satellite 'XM RADIO' which signed a deal with Detroit's Motor giant GM for placement of it's radio in all new vehicles off the assembly line. On top of her game would be an understatement for Punisher, as her accomplishments are only a small portion of what she has planned for 2004 and beyond…. Including a huge onslaught of releases lined up to come out and her First ever full length Album !!

Biography of Sassmouth
Sassmouth, a classically trained party girl, sought refuge through electronic dance music in an effort to escape the bullshit of capitalism. Always on the lookout for the next serious party, Sassmouth's training brought her to all corners of the globe including regular holidays in the world's techno capital, Detroit; annual pilgrimages to the Winter Music Conference, and Ibiza's closing parties.
After perfecting the art of dancing 'till sunset, Sassmouth was inspired to DJ in 2002. She began fueling bars, lounges, house parties, and morning gatherings in Chicago with her mix of techno, house and electro.
Sam's love for the more minimal side of techno influenced her decision to study in Santiago, Chile in 2004, where she further developed her minimal melodic sound amongst the Chilean techno community. She eventually snagged a set at one of the top techno nights in the city at the infamous Dominica 54'-- once again rocking that friendly late morning crowd.
Upon returning to Chicago in 2005, Sassmouth began organizing the biweekly techno night, Ettiket, and has continued her late night hijinks behind the decks at other Naughty Bad Fun Collective events at the west-side underground spot, Deadtech. She tag-teamed with the Punisher at 'In Your System' 1 year anniversary, '3 Way Punishment' at Corktown in Detroit, and 'Live Wrong' during WMC in Miami, and played with Surgeon at the 'Big Bang Sessions', with Speedy J at Vision, with Misstress Barbara and Christian Smith at Labyrinth in Detroit, and with Magda and Mathew Dear at Smartbar, Meiotic's 'Your Formula Life' party with Atomly, Popkan, and Steve Barnes, Bryan Zentz at Zentra, Justin Long and Johnny Fiasco at Soundbar, and headlined Cincinnati's techno night, 'Bang'.
Take a disco nap, come early, and stay late to catch her punchy techno and jags into jackin' house at the NBFC's 'Etikett' night every first and third Wednesday at Betty's Blue Star Lounge.
