Biography of Forrest Avery
Forrest Avery had his first introduction to Electronic Dance Music(EDM) in the summer of 1994. In 1996, he started Djing Acid House, Techno, and Breaks. By 1998, he was also known for playing sets of Funky House, Trance, Jungle, and Hip-Hop. In 2000, he started experimenting with other styles of music.
With newly developed turntablism skills, Forrest began making a name for himself blending the mellower Electronic genres with everything from Hip-Hop, Funk, Soul, Disco, and Jazz, to Rock, 80s, Reggae, and Pop.
In recent years, his interest has branched out from strictly Djing, and his focus has shifted back to more up-beat styles of EDM. Currently working on projects ranging from Dj mixes of various genres, to Live PA collaborations, orig inal production, and promoting events in the North West, he truly believes EDM is pushing the boundaries of today’s music culture.
