Jesse has no recollection of when he really got into music, all he knows is that it was quite early in his life. He has been influenced very much by everything around him, sounds, friends, art, etc.

It has given him a more organic sound to his music instead of just digital formations. Each track Jesse produces, or each work of art, or anything else he makes has to do with what he's been through and seen, his life is part of his art and art is part of his life. As for when Jesse got into electronic music, it was probably circa 1994-5 when he heard it on the radio while moving from station to station (he was into hard rock at the time).

To him, the sound wasn't new, having heard his fathers old Jean Michelle Jarre and Electric Light Orchestra records when he was younger. The sound he heard on the radio though was, however, quite intriguing in its structure and energy level.

At the time he thought it was a neat kind of music, but when he later discovered other more underground sounds, he really got into the groove with this style of music. For a breif while, he was into fluffy trance and hard trance, but that came to a quick end when he discovered some Joel Mull and Thomas Krome sets at a canadian techno site (Techno.ca) and was hooked on techno from then on. He continued listening to sets from Greg Gow and other Toronto artists/DJs and found the ever increasingly interesting sounds of minimal techno. Around this time period, Jesse discovered ReBirth, a classic Roland synth emulator, and decided to try and create some minimal techno for himself, the results were very nice in his opinion.

He experimented for long periods of time with arrangements, effects and other things in his tracks. This experimentation gave him more abillities and styles in techno production. Throughout this time, Jesse also met many friends and fellow producers in Europe and America, who gave him support and influenced his music and stylings. During this time he also met Dustin Zahn (at the time he was using his Tronix moniker) and was introduced to a deeper techier yet hard sound. Dustin introduced Jesse to the concept of what is now Abiotic Recordings (he can't remember what it was originally called back in those days). Dustin helped Jesse refine his mastering skills and production skills to the Abiotic standard (of which is comparatively awesome to some other labels mastering work). With this new crisper well constructed and organic sound, and the support of many friends, Jesse is where he is now.

Jesse is currently into an infathomably large range of music and genres, of which he draws all possible influence from. He is going to be graduating at the end of this year, and will be taking time off after to move to Toronto to attend Ontario College of Art and Design and master in arts such as painting and print making and possibly fabric arts. In Toronto Jesse plans to play many venues and get his own labels rolling to a good start in the local and International deep tech house scene, while keeping a steady job at a cafe or record shop. He also plans to take a month or two to tour parts of europe in 2004-2005 and also meet up with people he has now known for years. For now, Jesse is busy producing new tracks for an upcoming live PA and demo/promo disc to send off to various artists/DJs and labels.

Jesse has a lot planned for the future, expect some very interesting things from this artsy cafe dwelling man. Mind flogging sights and sounds are a stable diet in this artist's head, for now, it's time to return to the sound of silence, a very subtle sound loaded with bits of love and grey matter turned bright.
