Biography of Bonso

Yiannis Psillas aka Bonso was born & raised in Athens. The first steps in listening to electronic music was made since he was a child, while he was experimenting with many different genres.

The new decade found him in Syros island(Gr) studying, buying lots of vinyl & mixing something between minimal house and funky techno in his house.

In 2001 he got his first residency under the name 'TechAtHouse' which finally lasted about 5 years in a plenty of bars & clubs there.

In 2005 he joined .:Minimalathens:. with Zero:onE (iloveaki, Minimallondon) and K.atou (einmaleins, pinksilver).

In 2007 he moved back in Athens and played at several clubs/bars including Luv club,Fetisch, Motel, Wunderbar, Cafeina and other places around Greece. He has played along with respected artists such as Miss Yetti & Michel De Hey and that year had his first international gig in Netherlands @ Bootleg/Rotterdam.

Bonso is into new technologies, using tools for live sampling and editing,while at the moment is doing a research in the evoloution of live music performance & new interaction aspects for his Design degree. His music style is minimal tech-house (touching the borders of techno). Sometimes deep,sometimes funky; Bonso always makes it sound groovy!
