Biography of DJ Kira
DJ Kira a.k.a Musiccatz has been dj'ing for over 12 years, playing various club nights across the country, including a residency at North London's 'Electroworx' and his own night 'Get Sirious'. His sets are mixed on multiple platforms, and include genres that range right across the board, from Ambient & Chillout, Trance, Progressive House, Funky/Deep House, Techno and Progressive Breakbeat.
As you will find from listening to his mixes, there is a great love of the old skool, and he can't resist bringing a classic or two in to most of his sets - much to the pleasure of the listener!
His main influence's in electronic music come from many weekends spent at Bristol's 'Lakota' nightclub. He says 'They were the best nights (music & atmosphere wise) that I have (and probably will) ever experience, in my life.' It was also one of the first homes to Nick Warren & Jody (Way Out West). They were never afraid to mix up their sets with different genre's of dance music, and this is something that DJKira holds true to.
DJKira is also the resident DJ for the www.smoothshopping.co.uk entertainment channel, and has guest mixes featured on www.danceradio.gr
