Biography of Eric Sneo
Electronic music is a mirror of the soul, as well as a reflection of energy!
When he was young, Eric Sneo already started learning instruments like drums, piano, and accordion. He continued this way at the conservatorium in Mainz, where he studied keyboards and percussion and practiced pop + jazz.
Fascinated by the possibilities of electronic sound synthesis, he began collecting synthesizers by the age of 12.
Inspired by the sets of Sven Väth at the legendary “Omen” club in Frankfurtbetween the years 1992-1995, Eric discovered his love for techno and electronic music.With the help of Andy Düx, Eric practiced in the overdrive studios in 1995.At the same time he started studying audio engineering at the SAE Frankfurt.
In 1998 he became a resident DJ in one of the most famous techno clubs in Germany; The Palazzo. During that time he took full advantage of this opportunity to develop his style and perfect his technique.At the Palazzo, Eric Sneo played together with all the top djs’ like Chris Liebing, Rush, Monika Kruse, Jeff Mills, Sven Väth, and Thomas Schumacher.In 2002 started his own party series “Tanz Der Familie”
Around this same time period together with Udo Niebergall, the labels “Masters Of Disaster” and “Beatdisaster” were founded. These labels featured releases from Gayle San, The Advent, Chris Liebing, Hertz, Rush, etc, and were also a platform for Sneo’s own releases. Both labels stand for high quality innovative techno and are successful world-wide.
In 2003, Eric produced his release “Ciao Bella”, which by the way with the support of DJ Rush, became the ultimate summer club track 2003.He continued to hammer the clubs with releases on various labels like Kiddaz FM, Overdrive, Compressed, Le Petit Prince, Terminal M, CLR …
Here are some of his most famous releases:
- Eric Sneo “Going On” on terminal M. The track “TM” was no.1 in Carl Cox charts
- Rush + Sneo “I Control The Base”. The production with DJ Rush developed to the hymn of the successful event “Palazzo Airbase”.
- Eric Sneo “Brainhammer EP” on Chris Liebings label CLR. This release helped his international reputation tremendously and it was also Chris liebings record of the year in 2004.
In addition, Sneo’s rmx productions have become very successful and appreciated by DJs’ worldwide. He has done rmxs for: Mauro Picotto, Chris Liebing, Rush, Hertz, Moskwa TV, Venguard and Monika Kruse.
In March 2004 his album “Slave To The Beat” was released on Terminal M.It features a wide range of techno and fervently mirrors Eric’s passion for electronic music.The promotion included a worldwide album tour, radio shows and press features in the Raveline.Consistent successful record releases pushed his DJ career.With his performance on 3 decks, combined with effects, live robot vocals andlive drumming, Eric swiftly developed into a highly requested international player who can be often found “doing his thing” in countries like Brazil, Venezuela, Spain, England, Hungary, Belgium, France, and Austria to name a few.
