Biography of Beatman and Ludmilla

Ludmilla has been one of the most successful and most versatile female breakbeat DJs for the last 9 years in Europe. In long time partnership with Beatman (creating the Beatman & Ludmilla formation), they have dozens of international releases and movie soundtracks under their belts.

Their distinctive style got into shape by more than one thousand DJ appearances and live shows all across Europe (Hungary, Poland, Germany, Austria, and Romania). The Beatman & Ludmilla sound is identifiable by the adaptation of the classical instrumentation and the progressive, more dance-orientated breakbeats.

Their works were retouched by the biggest names such as Aquasky vs Masterblaster, Backdraft, Shiloh - just name a few. These tracks were released on the scene's hippest labels like Aurium Recordings (Max Graham, Ozgur Can, Benz and MD), Vinyl Addiction Breaks (Fingerlickin's sister label), Cut'n'Run (UK no1 bootleg label), I-Lectrik, CHI, or Positiva's Medcab bootleg-imprint.

Ludmilla started up as a DJ in cultic hungarian (formerly pirate) radio called Tilos; spreading the goodwill of breakbeat, tech house and garage. She definitely has the ears for good cuts! Around this time, Ludmilla began traveling around Hungary quite a bit, quickly, she became well known countrywide. At this point there were literally tons of breakbeat DJ's appearing in the scene but Ludmilla was searching for something different and found a great appreciation for the 2 step garage side of breakbeats, which became known as Breakbeat.

She found light in the progressive breakbeat. In the later half of 2001, break beat music had literally worn out its welcome within the underground scene, and was quickly replaced by progressive breaks. The music itself took a new direction by becoming happier and dance-oriented. She got the taste of production in late 2001 by remixing a Dub4U track called “Birthday” (CHI-Recordings) with her love/co-musician partner, Beatman.

Beatman & Ludmilla is special all-in-one project that goes further than collaborating in the studio: they are a couple in their non-music life AS WELL. We can surely say that they must know each other well for making great music! By putting their wise craft' together the B&L duo's carrier skyrocketed recently... their musical taste ranges from breakbeat to progressive breaks and all crossovers of these genres of electronica.
Many years' work in the music industry, like producing and DJ'ing helps the constant flow of ideas shaping into quality tunes throug their hands.

In 2004 they're remixed Korai Öröm track: 6, for a Remix-Album and released a track: Twist Dead Fable for MultiCafé promotional CD.

Then they're signed to I-Lectrik Records [UK] and released 'Amira' with a remix on flipside from one of the best breakbeat producers: Aquasky vs Masterblaster.

Another big thing of the year is a release of the famous Delerium: Silence bootie (called the Hungary for breaks mix) on Medcab Records [UK]
