Biography of Paul B

Paul B 's career took start in early 1997. While working on his first tracks in amost every genre of electronic music he had his skills rapidly improved. In 1999 Paul felt strong enough to create his first project together with two other influental producers - The Sounds Of Infinity . The team has taken the minds of all russian d'n'b massive.

After a few releases and performances all over Russia, Paul unites with Alex Sta . Summer 2001 - that's when Sta and Paul B made their first track using their full potential. The duo worked hard to create own sound with experiments of Alex and Paul's production and musical skills (time to mention that Paul took classical piano lessons in the childhood). In some 3 months DJ Trace discovers Russian talents and signs them to his label DSCI4. This historical moment was a pure breakthrough for the local scene.

Sta and Paul B finally have got the key to the world scene with these fabulous tracks: The Lick, Step 2 Zero, Gush, Secrets Inside and of course their first vocal tune Come Closer . These tunes have been getting stacks of airplay, being cained by likes of Andy C, Grooverider, BC, Kemal, SS, J Majik, Optical, Marky and many more all over the world thanks to Trace and DSCI4 rec. promotion.

A few months later Paul have discovered himself as a DJ and started to put his online studio mixes monthly for free play. Consequently Paul has found himself in great demand and caused a ruckus everywhere he played: Austria, Estonia, Norway, Czech Rep., Holland, Germany, Croatia, Italy, Slovenia, Bosnia & Gerzegovina, Macedonia, Slovakia, Ukraine, Latvia, Belgium, Israel, Switzerland, Poland and other countries all over the world.

Paul keeps collaborating with other russian producers such as Dissident and Subwave . Dissident and Paul's Technecium has been signed to Renegade Hardware thanks to its futuristic mixture of pure techno and drum'n'bass. Paul and Subwave's Something Sick has become an anthem for DSCI4 WMC'03 party . They've also written an exclusive remix on Tiesto 's famous Flight 643 appeared on Dieselboy's Dungeonmaster's Guide mix CD (out on Human imprint). This tune still has a great attention.

Nowadays Paul appears as the most active russian d'n'b DJ and producer having lots of releases under a number of labels (such as Sonix, G2 besides mentioned above). He keeps recording his freeplay online mixes (called Nuborn ) and launches own label - STEP2ZERO recordings which becomes first world-known Russian d'n'b label.

Paul B is undoubtedly the most famous Russian DJ internationally. Paul B (Burakov) started producing back in '97 before hooking up with a crew called The Sounds Of Infinity for a few years before finally joining forces with a producer called Sta and capturing the attention of DJ Trace. As a result Paul B decided to get on the decks and became a DJ. making himself the Andy C of the Russian scene in the process DJing all over Russia as well as abroad, whilst heading up his own label, STEP2ZERO RECORDINGS.
