Biography of Paul Dailey

From the time he was just 10 years old learning to mix on a pair of belt drive turntables, Paul had an unwavering love for music that made people dance. Influenced by his father's immense record collection and the eclectic beats played on late night college radio, his tastes were forged by elements of funk, soul, rock and disco.

A true veteran of the dance music scene in New England, Paul Dailey has been crafting his art for the better part of two decades. Hailing from Boston, Paul has traveled extensively and performed at some of the top venues in cities all over North America and Europe (including New York, Toronto, London and at WMC in Miami and the Movement Festival in Detroit.) He hosts a weekly mix show on Orion 1 in Italy and his residency at Rise in Boston is already considered one of the Northeast's top underground bi-monthly events and continues to grow in popularity with each and every session.

Paul's dedication to DJing and passion for the art form, have afforded him experience that clearly sets him apart. That knowledge and enthusiasm permeate every track, transition and sound he brings to his sets, and is the reason why countless clubs repeatedly invite Paul back to rock their clientele with his signature 'Funky Techno' sound.

With his ongoing work at an instructor at the DJ Mix Academy (www.djmixacademy.com), freelance writing for several publications, his new satellite mix show, the release of several original productions (on labels including his own Deference Recordings) and frequent speaking engagements at trade shows including Winter Music Conference and M3 in Miami and the DJ Times Expo in Atlantic City; Paul continues to establish himself as a highly regarded performer, artist and well respected industry leader.
