Biography of DJ Blazin
DJ Blazin'...Age: 25...Mixing Since: 1998...UK
Blazin' was introduced to Jungle in the mid 90's. After moving from Scotland to Cambridge in 1998 he was influenced by listening to tape packs and going to raves such as Warning and One Nation. He got his first set of decks in 1999.
In 2001 Blazin' played his first set out at an event called 'Life' in the 1500 capacity Dance Academy after moving from Cambridge to Plymouth. After this he started to play at various events and radio stations all over the south west.
By mid 2003 Blazin' felt he had reached his mixing potential on 2 decks so decided to take his skills to the next level by adding a third (a year or two before any of the top D'n'B DJs were advertised playing out on 3).
At the start of 2004 Blazin' was one of the top ten runners up in the Liquid Funk DJ competition which was entered by well over 500 people worldwide. 'An original 3 deck mix with a great selection of tearing tunes' - Liquid Funk.
At the end of 2004 Blazin' went on to win the final of the Twister DJ competition in London, judged by top DJ agents, artists and producers from the scene.
With this competition win under his belt Blazin's mixing skills became apparent and his unique style of lightning fast, 3 deck mixing can rival any top world class DJ. With his selection of high energy tracks from different styles across the board he can destroy any dance floor. Promoters across the world soon realised this booking him to play abroad.
Currently he has been in the studio concentrating on developing his production skills.
