Biography of DJ Jive
As a boy, Jive would often be found challenging the neighborhood kids to break-dance with cardboard, ghetto blaster and “Herbie Hancock’s Rock It” in the cassette deck.
DJ-Jive aka Stephan Ford began DJing circa 2004. He was swept into the DJ community to offer a unique addition and style to the mix. His ear gravitated toward electronic music while break-dancing to Herbie Hancock’s “Rock It” as a boy. The dark sounds of industrial and soulful ghetto music are a heavy influence to his style of music selection and play.
Today, Jive challenges dancers to bust out their latest moves while he pushes deep baselines and tight cuts into his electronic break-beat dance music.
Jive has an innate connection with the expression of dance and he DJs as a conduit to communicate and move people through frequencies.
The man has something to say and he’s communicating with every groove from his analog records, intently reading what your body has to say.
