Biography of Dan Solo

Dan was given his break into dance music culture by older brother, and musical confidant Rich-e-Rich over 3 years ago when Dan was invited to play the opening set for the Fractal Forest at Shambhala Music Festival. Since then Dan has not looked back, quickly climbing the ranks as a reputable DJ/remix artist in the westcoast music scene. Dan plays a blend of dirty electro, minimal tech, new-jack house, breakbeat, baille funk, retro boogie, bmore, club, dancehall, and hip hop, with headbanger beats and thick basslines being the common denominator. Dan has held residencies in both Vancouver BC, and Calgary AB, as well as a bi-monthly residency on the Sunshine Coast of BC. Currently Dan is located in Calgary working on new material, and an exclusive DJ mix for Home Breakin Records. You can often find Dan at the local record shop digging for the perfect song to murder the dancefloor with. His his latest mix cd 'Animals' has recieved postive reviews across the board for its unpretentious selection of party rocking tracks, clean mixing/sampling, original style.
