Biography of Zach DeVincent
Working as a DJ, you begin to take notice of the similarities within the biographies of other DJs. By no coincidence, it seems each artist was raised on music, discovered electronica at some point in their lives, and then found the desire to pursue it. But there is one underlying factor that seems to go unwritten amidst all other words: all have the similar desire to bring the message of their music to as many people as they can. At no time in history has this been more viable than the present day. With the wave of computer technology in the past ten years, electronic music is now more accessible than ever before. Virtually anyone with a laptop and some software can begin cranking out tracks in a matter of hours - something that no other genre of music allows. Electronic music is growing and developing rapidly within itself, thus creating a huge demand. A larger number of producers are giving way to an infinitely larger number of tracks, creating the need for more people to carry out the message of their music. This is the definition of a Movement.
At the forefront is a new generation of DJs, driven not by the desire for stardom, but by the desire to carry electronica into the next era. Fitting comfortably into this category is Zach DeVincent. With an unmistakable, driving tech-house sound, Zach has begun to capture the ears of listeners all over the globe. The evidence of his keen ear for programming music becomes quite apparent when listening to his mixes, which revolve heavily around chunky, bassline-driven tracks. Zach first gained recognition in a bedroom DJ mix competition hosted by Balance Promote - the leading dance music promoter in the United States. His was one of two winning mixes to be broadcasted on the widely-popular Balance Record Pool radio show. Shortly thereafter, doors began to open for the young San Franciscan, and as the latest addition to the friskyRadio family, you can now catch Zach playing a variety of venues all over the Bay Area.
