Biography of Miles

Interview with deep house artist Miles from Baden, Switzerland (www.demizen.com)...

1.What style of electronical music is, on your opinion, on the crest of the wave?
I think early-mid 90's deep house that tugs on the heartstrings.

2.Did your musical preferations change last five years?
No, its more or less is the same just a bit more in-depth.

3.What are you playing now in clubs and what you listen at home?
I don't play out much but in a party I would be more dancefloor focused. At home I listen to all sorts, but mostly electronic music, at the moment quite a lot of early experimental library music for film & tv as well as my regular dose of house.

4.Your attitude to deep-houe music: club music or music for home listening?
My understanding of the term 'deep house' is quite broad, for me it is perfect anywhere.

5.What are your favourite deep-house labels and artists?
Alleviated, Nu-Groove, Nervous, Delsin, Prescription Records are a few great labels.

6.Your vinyl release you esteem the 'deepest' one.
It not by me but 'On your way' from the Sound Vandals on Nu Groove springs to mind.

7.Where do you get new material (cd,vinyl,mp3)?
Mostly mail order and from the internet, vinyl and mp3.

8.What soft do you use for making music?
Logic.

9.Where do you prefer to play: big or small clubs, open-airs or home parties?
A small club, but I'm happy to play anywhere if there's a good crowd and sound system.

10.What is deep? Tell about your understanding of this universe?
Something evocative / I don't understand it, I guess thats part of the appeal.
